First foal

Our first foal of 2012 has arrived, a quality bay colt who also happens to be the first offspring of Lambrigg Cappuccino, and as such a very special foal.

Lambrigg Payday

A great photo of Payday doing his thing. Hopefully he'll be out this season competing BE which I am really looking forward to seeing.

Cattle testing

It's always an anxious time when the herd is due it's bTB test, especially since we have a decent acreage of ancient woodland on the farm which is home to several badger setts. But thankfully all the cows have tested clear today, as in previous years. Phew.

Can I see your authorization please ?

Golden Howe head of security ULF, who takes his job very seriously. He also has a sideline in absorbing every bit of heat from the woodburner lest it should escape into the room and make a nuisance of itself.

What would we do without him ?

New Website

I've finally found the time to finish off the new stud website ~ well almost, as there are some details missing and also a 'for sale' page waiting to go up soon too.

Winter update

Bunny has clocked up 3 more double clears since I last posted her results, including 2nd at Trailblazers in a class of over 55 entries and just three hundreths of a second behind the winner.

We've been kept busy organising a huge reduction in the cattle numbers over December and January, leaving us now with a very small herd of half a dozen pedigree cows who all seem to have managed to achieve pet status, thus ensuring their futures !

The snow has held off until February this year - we've had enough to create picturesque scenes and ground the horsebox, but nothing even approaching the amount we've had to cope with over the previous two winters....yet !
